Subject: Qs about Mounting amps under seats IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Reg Cab Dak. Im gonna be putting in two amps, one under each seat. I checked and each one will fit up under the seats. I just got a few questions. Is it hard to loosen the seat brackets to make give me some more play room to work with? Do I need to torque these bolts down after loosening or just really frickin tight? Is there any thing I need to watch out for when drilling the mountig holes for the Amps[fuel lines, wiring etc.]? Any pointers or ideas anyone out there can give me if they have done this before would really be appreciated.

Message: If you use short screw (1/2" or smaller) then they should not penetrate thru the entire floor. Just use two screw on each amp, not need to drill up the whole floor.
Just tighten down your seats, but don't go bonkers. No need to torque them to any spec.
