 Subject: Q Custom box

Has anyone heard or know anything about the Q logic "Q Customs" box for the CC Dak? It drops into the tool tray behind the drivers seat and still has room for storage. Does anyone know what the mounting depths are for the box? I have an Audiobahn 8 that needs a mounting depth of 4 7/8. Does anyone even know what the hell I'm talking about?

8" woofer is sure cheaper than 2 10's in a thunderform.

I already ordered mine. The info they have says from 97 to 2001, but Q Logic has tested it and it will fit the 2002 also. You don't even have to remove your tool tray, it drops right in. www.mmxpress.com sold mine to me for $184 shipped.

Q-logic has a rep for creating a junk box. Their air space is not right in their boxes. So they may not push as well as any other box.

Got my Q-custom box installed yesterday. Fit perfectly and sounds great. I got an amp with a
bass boost feature but can't imagine ever using it, it'll rattle my fillings if I turn up the gain on the amp more than about half way. Overall I'm real pleased!!!
Double J--You were wondering about mounting depth,
I used a rockford rfp 3208 which has a mounting
depth of 4-11/16 inches and it just barely fit, as a matter of fact I think the speaker magnet is bottomed out on the bottom of the box, so you might have trouble getting your speaker to fit.

Cool, I just got home from Bosnia today, and saw my box for the first time. Pretty happy with the appearance. I dropped the sub in and it fits fine. Now I just need to pick up my Dak on Monday and start the mods. Thanks for your info, glad you like yours.

just bumbping this old post cuz there is no answer to my question.. so will a 8 inch sub fit in one of these q logic enclsosures if it has a WIDE magnet? the sub im thinking of is only 4 inches deep, so its not even clost to the max on that, but the magnet is prett wide (sorry i dont have the demension! so IN general, would a wide magnet sub with a depth of 4 inches fit in one? thanks

Yes. I have mine for sale if you're interested. If not, I can at least send you some detailed pictures of it so you can see it. As long as the magnet is no wider than the sub itself, you should have no problem. I had a Fosgate RFP3208 in it with no problems, and the magnet was pretty big.

wow thanks double J, you helped me out alot. The sub I am looking at is the Diamond Audio. So how did you like that nice rockford? how does the system sound. and Why are you selling it? just curious, Pics would be cool to, i might be interested in your q logic so any info would be nice, thanks for your imput

I liked the Rockford. For an 8 it sounded pretty good. Overall system sound was better than what I expected for a sub that size. I ran 6 1/2s in the front with the tweeter mounted in the sail and 5 3/4 in the rear side walls. I had an Alpine amp, 5 ch running everything. I think the sub was only getting 120 watts. It was a good quality sound with enough bass to feel the music and be heard if you wanted to. The best part was not having to give up my back seat to have it all. I can send you some pics of it installed and some of it sitting here in my apartment. I'm selling the box because I sold the Dak. I got a Hemi Ram, and truth be told I miss the Dak.
