Subject: REMOVING TRAY FROM 02CC IP: Logged
Message: OK my truck drew 1st blood..some how I sliced my knee open running all my cabling. at least I'm still human(judging by the colour of the blood)..and the upholstery cleaned up nice.
How the heck to I pull out the stock tool tray..do I pull the back panels(the rear wall) off then the sides? are there enough clips for me to bother getting a panel popper? any step by step info would help. I'm very busy right now and knowing what I'm looking for is greatly appreciated.
I have already put a pair of concept cn-650 in the front. I want to get my box built( 1 Concept 12" FT-12 and my Soundstream 405s 5 channel amp) and put a pair of cn-650 in the rear. I'm still waiting for my new deck so I can do once pice at a time. once my deck shows up all I have to do is install it and all items will be switch over to the new system which should thump!

Message: Removing the tray is a pain in the ass or knee. You have to remove the sides x 4, seat belts, back seats, back panels. And then you remove the bolts and tray.
You basically take the whole back of the truck out. You don't need a panel puller just take it easy they will come out.

Message: I broke one of the clips that go into the fabric on the back wall..good thing I friends withe the manager at the dodge dealer. I muts admit that this vehicle was the easiest so far for running cables.. I love the way the door sill clips are. the doors themselves are very nice to work on.
Which panels should I do first the back or the sides?
Thanks for your help.

Message: How deep is it under the tray? When the tray is out, is there more than 8" from the bottom of the seat to the metal? I'm dreading taking out the tool tray... and I assume it is the same for a 2000.
