Message: It is not hard, just remove the screws (all of them), remove the plastic piece around the door handle, pop out the piece around your buttons, disconnect the wire harness, and lift up and out.

Message: Ok---lets go ghetto here. The best thing I have found for removing the window crank is a fork with the 2 middle tines broken off. Of course---you could go to Parts Express and get a specialized tool---but that's no fun and doesn't inspire creativity (ghetto behavior).

Message:
What works great for popping that clip off is an old sock. Turn the crank so the clip opening is facing up, insert the sock and press down using a slight sawing motion. The clip pops right off.
As for replacing the clip, slide it into position on the crank handle first before installing the handle on the shaft. With the clip in place on the handle, insert the handle onto the shaft until it stops and then rap on it with your hand. The clip expands just enough so everything goes back as it was.

Message: I never would've thought of using a sock! I made a little tool out of a paper clip. Just straighten it out & bend a little hook on the end. Press in on the door panel a little to get to the clip, grab the end with the hook & yank 'er out.
