I had a pair in a nissan reg cab 2 6 inch tubes and they sounded awesome for the size. If you could fit one eight I'd try that.
mine were the passive type I supplied the amp to run them, don't know about the amplified ones

I had a 95 CC with 2 8" bazookas. I switched out the factory speakers in them for two JL 8's and it sounded better than two seal 10's that were in it before.

All i gotta say is,... I made my own box, put in a 10" Rockford Fosgate sub, and it sounds way better than my friends that has two 8" bazooka tubes in his chevy s-10. I would suggest going with a 10" or even a 12" Rockford Fosgate sub. Go with Rockford Fosgate cause MANY people have said the sound better than this other guys 2 10" pionners. It's all i need in a RC truck, and i'm sure it's all you need. Unless you wanna be deff by age 50.
