I have a 1993 Dakota and I have a new sony cd player in it and replaced the stock speakers with new 3-way speakers.
When ever I turn it up to high the sound isn't right and if I'm playing a song with out a lot of bass it will actually short out a 10 amp fuse under the hood.
Would an amp fix this problem?

a 15 amp fuse will probably fix the blown fuse problem. Adding an amp will probably just make the speakers crackle more.
