I built my first subwoofer box for my '01 Quad Cab. It fits in the back floorboard, right behind the center console. It's about .35 cu ft. It has an Audiobahn 8" woofer and to me sounds really good. Here are the pics:

It doesn't interfere with the left and right passenger's feet room too much. But the rear center passenger will have a rough time.

Oops actually volume is closer to .55 cu ft.
