I am currently STILL working on my install but here is what I have going on right now:
1998 Dakota ext cab (3.9L engine - auto)
I removed the rear seats completely, and did some cutting on the rear side panels. I removed the rear seat belts too.
I have a Sony CDX-M8815 head unit, 4 Concept 6.5", 4 Concept 4" and 4 Concept 1" tweets in each of the doors, I have 4 Concept 8" subs being used for MidBass in the back, and 4 Concept 12" subs for the bass configured in a 6th order bandpass enclosure in the back.
I have 4 O2 Audio amps to push it all - extra batteries, high output alternator, and tons of 0ga and 4ga wire to run this all.
I sound dampened the vehicle with FAT MAT before beginning the install. I cannot wait until its complete and I am thinking its gonna be crazy loud and hopefully pretty clean sounding too :)

These head units are not easy to find. It is the last of the Active Black Panel family. I found a retailer and bought mine - but I did that about 3 years ago - just finally took it out of the box this summer and hooked it up.
Ebay or Craigslist is about your best bet.
But make me an offer (dlove @ rocketmail.com) and maybe you can buy mine and I will just upgrade to something else. Got my eye on SEVERAL other options out there :)
