Message: I want to cut road and exhaust noise in the cab. I have a 99 Dakota 4x4 ext cab. I've already read http://www.sounddeadenershowdown.com/, but I'd like to hear some other experiences.
What did you use? [I'm thinking of RaamMat or FatMat.]
How much of it? [200 or more sq ft?]
What was the total cost of materials? [approx $500?]

Message: try undercoating the truck first if you haven't already get 3-4 cans of 3M 08883 undercoating and try it. Always do all of my cars/trucks a big improvment also protects the floor from most of the rocks and crap on the highway. I like the 3M best others may say different but you can be neat with those cans and they hold alot of undercoating. A nice fairly warm day and warm can helps alot with the being neat part too.

Message: I have never bought a 3M product that was not a super product. They seem to be one company that puts product quality ahead of profit.

Message: I just finished covering the doors, rear panels, floor with Fat Mat. It took just a little over 50 sq ft to cover the entire cab like that. And I notice a TON of improvement. I am having my door panels customized so I am currently driving without them on the doors - and I still notice a major improvement from driving without the dampening.
I HIGHLY recommend FAT MAT (and you can get it on eBay pretty cheap) :)
