Subject: Custom loaded sub box for 98 club cab IP: Logged
Message: I had a 98 dodge dakota club cab that I made a custom box for. Made out of either 5/8 or 3/4 high density particle board (can't remember exactly). It is loaded with 2 Polk audio 10" subs and covered in black carpet. Air volume is 1.3 cubic feet total. box is 54"x16"x6"deep with a cutout for the hump. I wanted to get more air volume in the sub so it would match what the sub manufacturer recommended for air volume. It requires taking off the hinges for the rear seats. I bought a sub box online that was smaller and it sounded like crap. This custom box raises the rear seat about an inch or two and I sat the seats on the box and it worked fine. This is a solid box, reinforced and sealed, and sounds great. My kids are 3 and 6 now and I broke down and bought a minivan (ouch) and have no need for the box anymore. I figure a similar box would cost around $150 and the subs were $90 each about a year ago. I would like to get $150 for all. Anyone interested please email me at chrisbmx@zoominternet.net. I can send pix if wanted.

Message: Just think how loud the subs are in the minivan. :)
I have just one cheap 10" sub in the Grand Caravan and it's pretty loud.
