Message: ok 99 dak cc am going to be replacing the stock speakers soon i know the backs are 6 or 61/4 or something like that lookin at the front door panels the stock grille looks small are they? and also when changin out the rears do you have to take the panel all the way off it looks like a pain in the @ss to do but i will if i have to any input on this will be nice thanks

Message: The speakers are Chrysler 6 1/2". Yes the whole panel needs to be removed to get to the rear speakers. You have to remove the back rest part of the back seat too. It just snaps out. It helps to remove the tool tray under the back seat too. Take the top half of the rear side panels out first to be able to remove the lower section. It's not as bad as it sounds. You can either use the adaptor rings that come with a lot of speakers nowadays or make your own from mdf or something similar to put in aftermarket speakers.

Message: I used the plastic spacers from the factory speakers. Drilled three small holes and mounted the speaker to the spacer, then mounted it all back up just like the stock ones. I do have a QC, however. That might make a difference, I don't know.
