Subject: jensen radio IP: Logged
Message: MY jensen radio was working fine. I pulled to see if there was a connector for satellite radio. the thing just stopped working. it has power and it is grounded. I checked it with a test light. there is power all the way to the plug connector that goes into the back of the radio.
Any help or ideas would be appreciated as I really like my radio and don't want to spend any money for a new one.. oh yea. and I tried the reset button behind the removable face plate too.

Message: Not to be a smart alleck but is voltage present on both the constant 12volt and the switched 12volt accessory wires? Sometimes the constant circuit fuse in the truck's fuse panel under the dash or at the power distribution center by the battery will blow when the radio is removed and reconnected. Is there a fuse in the back of the radio or in the radio harness? If it all checked out OK, you might have to take the radio to a good car audio shop and have it bench tested and repaired if necessary. Sometimes there can be internal damage when a radio, amplifier or other component is powered back up after removal from the truck. That may not be good news, I know.
Good luck with it. Let us know how it turns out.

Message: Jimmy got it; Sounds like a fuse blew. If the fuse blew in the cab, I think ur A/C and horn will also not be working (if i remember correctly from when I was messing with my horn and shorted the wires.) If that fuse is fine, then check to see that the fuse with the radio is okay (if it has one.)
