so i was drivin down the road today and i jus put in my new infinity refrence1621 six and a half inch speakers in the bcak. i had some good ol country playin and it was soundin so much better than my blown old speaker. my friend decided to put some rap in to find out how much the new speakers actually have and when the opening of some song came on my back glass window shaddered. im not sure if it was from all the vibration from the speaker of what but i need to know if this has ever happened to somone else and also how much you would think it would be to replace that bcak sliding window in the club cab.
also i want to get a sub and amp with my next pay check any suggestion and remember i am on a budget. it dosen't have to be top of the line i just want it to be clean.

No way in hell the bass caused the window to shatter. As far as the TSB yes it has to be under warranty to get TSBs done for free.

Unless it is a safety issue. TSBs are good for any vehicles covered in the VIN range for a certain amount of time from the day the TSB is released, even if they are out of warranty. If it is a safety issue, like the ball joint ordeal, they are covered until the problem has been corrected I do believe. My cousin is a Dodge tech and that is the way I think he described it to me.

I have a set of Alpine Type-R components and they hit hard, but never blew out the glass in the thing. Hell, my 10" Audiobahns never came close to doing that. Something is up dude. ;)

Well damn...lol...actually just saying i live near you, i drive a dakota and my sister lives where you do.I'm over there sometimes but never in my dakota.I had a 4.7 too.
"get over it" HAHAHAHAHA...wouldnt be fun talking crap to a stock 4.7 guy...lol. I dont mind talking to other dakota guys but ones with a little attitude too...lol. At first try not taking things in a bad way.

I love my dakota but can't afford to drive it very much, are you ever in Fort Smith? Your truck looks nice just from what i can see. Do you have wheels? I have alot of parts off my 4.7 if you ever need something. I have some 20's for sale also.

Midnightdak-what style wheels are the 20's you have? I have been looking for the American Racing Torq thrust style. Unfortunately, they no longer make the wheel in a 6 on 4 and a half lug pattern. My email is wadesilvia@hotmail.com. If you could send some pics of the wheels you have or if you know someone who has a set of the Torq Thrusts I would be very greatful.

The pic is of my old '97. It just had a 3.9 5-speed. I had bought a 4.7 auto to put into it, then I totaled it. My new truck is black, not as nice as the red-one was, at least not yet.
