I ordered a pair of enclosures for 2 Boston G2-10's mounted behind the rear seats in a 2001 Dakota QC. The mounting depth on the G2's are 6 9/16" so I had to get them to custom build the boxes for me. I did have to make a spacer for a little more mounting depth, but Mark (the Customer Service guy)told me before I purchased them that I'd have to do that. They would fit perfectly in a QC with subs with a smaller mounting depth, but my situation required me to relocate my rear seats forward 1" (redrilling 2 holes in the seat mounting brackets), up 3/8" (3/8" spacer underneath seat mounting bracket), and adding 3 spacers behind the seat hooks, extending them 1 1/8" and turning them upside-down. Also, I cut off 7/8" from the male part of the seat/hook assembly, enabling the back of the seat to fold down, (commonly referred to on dodgedakotas.com as the QC rear seat mod). I cut all the spacers out of 3/8" carbon steel on a CNC laser at work. The spacer for between the sub and enclosure was SWEEEET. The guys at the audio shop down the street want me to make a bunch for them to sell at they're shop. I painted all mine flat black, but they could be pimped in a variety of ways: powder-coated, chromed, etc.
Anyways...
Supercrewsound.com was great. They were quality boxes made from quality materials. They were sealed up tight. The carpet (OEM Match Dark Gray $20 extra) was a good match, even though no one can see it behind the seats. The terminals were acceptable. The terminals do not include speaker wire to the subs. The outer terminals were great. The inner terminals were a little flimsy, but I don't think they are flimsy enough to cause any damping. That is the only negative comment I have with these boxes. I calculated the volume to be .533 cuft. which is perfect for the Boston 10" subs, however, it could be a little small for a lot of other brand 10" subs.
The customer service is Awesome. Every question I had was responded to immediately and Mark was very knowlegable about the Dakota QC. They custom built my boxes ($40 extra) and I recieved them in about 2 weeks. They fit perfectly and the quality was superb. The total cost was almost $250, but I think it was well worth it. These are the tightest, best sounding subs I've ever had!I highly recommend these enclosures from supercrewsound.com!

If youre looking for a challenge/fun and on a budget, you can do what I did. I went on a search for the smallest, but best sub I could find to fit behind the seat. By far, It's the Kicker S8L7. I then built a box out of MDF that took up as much space as I could behind the limited driver's side rear seat (lots of measurements to get it right). When installed, It was invisible and nothing was cut to fit back there. It's tough, but definately possible.

As for the sub...It's great. My favorite thing to do is crank it on when someone is least expecting it. Just the right amount of bass for almost everyone (500RMS i think?). Let me know if you have any questions.

I did the EASIER route with my QC I think... :p

I took out my rear seats, drilled new mounting holes so the seats sit 1.5 inches more forward and also extended the mounting hooks about an inch as well. I also removed the stock location of the jack and just shoved it to the right of the seat instead.

Since most of the time only my kids sit back there you would never know by looking at the seats that they are modded. It's been about 3 years now!

At first it was for one 10, and then I went to TWO Rockford Fosgate P2 series. They are fairly DEEP speakrs for the 2" excursion. S0 most 10's can easily be mounted back there. My amps are under the seats and I modified my brackets so you can fold the seats down.

I recently bridged my Kenwood amp so it's now at 2OHMS to give a little more punch to them 10's that have been underpowered a bit. I hope I don't fry that amp! It's the one that says 800 WATT but is really like 460Watts RMS.

Wow, that looks very nice blkquad. I'm sure those subs make some serious bass, since my one little 8" L7 is too loud for me sometimes! Does yours have like 1200 Watts RMS? I can't even imagine.....
