Subject: NEED A NEW 12 IP: Logged
Message: Sup guys,
Right now I have an infinity 12" sub that I bought off of ebay and fixed it. It sounds great but one wire from the basket to the voice coil keeps breaking. this was what was wrong with it to begin with. I have a 900w peak 330 (or so) watt rms mono punch amp I bought pretty cheap a while ago, and it works great. I just need some ideas on a sub that can handle 330 rms. thanks

Message: I said f*ck it and fixed the sub myself. I got the wires to stop breaking off with a better soldiering iron. The wires from the voice coil to the metal tab on the basket was broke too. it was impossible to get the iron in there to melt some soldier on it, so i tilted the speaker upright and just piled up the the soldier and pushed the puddle like I was welding. worked pretty good! and I got some 3 way pioneer premier 6.5's in the back and 4 ways up front. sounds clear as sh*t with no distortion unless I turn it up really loud. since the subs in a sealed box its not super loud anyways so I can actually hear everything. I can still make it pound if I want to.
