Message: here is the link to see what it looks like and the other info regarding dimensions and stuff. unfortunatly it doesnt show the 8.2 (maybe they're not making them anymore) but its the same as the 8.1 only with 2 subs instead of 1.

Message: The microsubs are VERY Impressive. I had the 8.1 in my eagle talon and it rattled the hat off of my head! I fed it 150watts and it hit like a good 10. Definately reccomend.

Message: I have a single JL 8W-0 in my quad. I built a small box that fits on the center hump behind my console. I used a hammered metal finish spray paint from Rust Oleum that matches the dark slate grey interior pretty well for a bit of a 'stealth' box.
Check out this other design as well- same concept.

Message: Just an update for anyone interested. I just picked up the 8.2 microsub yesterday on clearance from the local stereo shop and they even matched the cheapest price i had found online. . Luckily i got the last one they had because it appears JL has quit making the microsub in favor of stealth boxes. Its raining and really cold out right now so looks like i'll wait until tomorrow when its warm and sunny to install it along with a Kenwood 70X2 amp bridged to push the sub. Every review i've read praises the microsub and i'm getting really itchy to get it put in as i've had my RC Dak for 2 years now and its really needed some nice tight clean bass. Anyway sorry for the long post I'm just really excited right now and it's been awhile since i've touched this thread but i'll be sure to post my own personal review very soon once i've installed everything and put it through my tests.

Message: well, got everything installed today and let me tell you this thing kicks!!! fit just perfect behind the drivers seat right between the jack and the pillar behind the door. now i think i'm in serious need of some dynamat for the back wall of the truck to try and combat an annoying rattle i have now from the moulding below the window. other than that just some minor tweaking with the gain and the crossover to get the overall sound blended together the way i like it.

Message: tsz11, that's actually what I plan to use for my truck. the 10" and 12" aren't too bad in price, but the 15" is nearly 500 each. If I remember right, the 12 is 280 for each driver.
I've had a friend who has them and I've talked to a bunch of people with them. They are not super loud, but they are very, VERY crisp and smooth. Very much of an SQ sub.
You can also doubble the rated power to them just fine, they can take it all day.
Beware thugh, the 15" does need quite a bit of volume, it may have a low mounting, but it's no small box.
