Hey guys. I've got the MTX Thunderform box for my 2000 ex. cab. I've had MTX 4500's, Audiobahns, and two sets of Rockford Fosgate P2's. I have blown every single set of speakers cause of my Directed Audio 1200 watt class D amp. I'm kinda gettin tired of replacing my subs every six months to a year. Its gettin old. I love my amp. Its great but its just too powerful. My question is is there a site that will tell me what speakers will fit in the box or does anyone know of some better speakers that can handle some more power?
Also, is there any difference in a single voice coil and a dual voice coils in subs? Thanks for the help

While you CAN run 200 Watt subs with a 1200 Watt amp and NOT blow them, it does take a bit of tuning on the gains, and perhaps a little self control... throw in a dash of learning from past mistakes... Fourth time's a charm, maybe. Most mistakes are valuable lessons, but only if you actually learn something from them.

BTW, if you decide to buy those subs, make sure there's enough clearance behind the sub, like at the very least 3/4"; the hole in the middle of the magnet is for cooling, if that is butted up against the back of the enclosure, you'll blow your subs.

i have the thunderform in my 97 dakota it has the thunder 6000's in from 2001 with the mounting depth in the thunder form you wont find to many sub to put in their that can handle that much power sorry to say you may have to pull the directed amp out and get ma audio

That SQ10 sub looks pretty cool. I'm gonna call them tomorrow and check it to see what the power handling ratings are. Its definatly got a small enough mounting depth. Its only using 3 inches and I have 5, soo.....Well see.
