Message: yea check the frequency of the crossover on your amp. if its around 100 or 120hz try turning it down to 60-80hz. if that still doesnt fix it then turn the gain on your amp down until you get it sounding even with your head unit.
still no luck and willing to spend a little money.... try audio controls Epicenter. it digitally restores the bass and gives you more control of the sound. a new one from an authorized dealer will set you back around $150. its really simple to install, but if you have it done by your sound shop, audiocontrol will extend the warantee from 1 year to 5 years. let me know if that helps.

Message: The Epicenter will make more low end bass and louder. I had one and it worked pretty good, especially if you like lots of rumble. But it may not cure your problem, since you already have plenty of bass.
On a small enclosed area like a truck cab you sometimes need to reduce your low pass crossover to the lowest setting (like Liqudus said). I have mine at 50hz and the mids are set at 70hz, and everything sounds peachy king. Get yourself some kind of bass control so you can adjust it up front, lots of amps now have them built in. That way you can turn it up and down depending upon the song.
