Subject: Can't get amp to shut off...
IP: Logged

Message:
installing an amp and sub in an 05' Dodge Dakota, everything is done and hooked up...i hook up the remote line, turn on the truck and the amp fires up. Turn off the truck, amp stays on. Looking at the harness, there are two red lines with black stripes (no solid red). Where do i run my remote line?
Thanks

I don't know where to hook it up on a stock radio, but some people install a switch so they can turn it on and off manually.

Look here:

(this is for the older 2004 radio, but the differences are minor.)

Pin 13 should be the "radio on output." I know Chrysler is starting to get rid of that output on newer cars, but an '05 should still have it.
