Message: I plan on getting 1 12" W6v2 JL sub for my car for I feel that will be plenty of bump... if you recommend 2 please tell me but i have a generally small car and feel 1 is enough... how much money would it be for 2? The main question is what sort of amp do you recommend.. how much power will i need for the one sub. Also do you recommend getting speakrs and if so which ones. I have stock 01 speakers and feel they will be enough.. if not please say

Message: While that is an awesome sub, you're gonna have to put the power to it, with a good quality 400 W amp @ 2 Ohms. It's sensitivity rating is only 85.9 dB which is kinda low for a 12"; to put into perspective, a sub with 89 dB sensitivity will be twice as loud with the same amp, and a 92 dB sub will be twice as loud as the 89 dB sub at the same power.
But that will still be a nice sub and will sound good if you put a high quality amp behind it.
What are you powering your speakers with?
