 Subject: No sound, new stereo

I have a 2001 Dodge Dakota that I removed the stock deck and replaced with a new deck and a 2 channel and a mono amp. We have all connected and amps power on but we get no sound. Any ideas would be helpful.

What kind of head unit do you have?
Did u use that Preout in the back of the head unit with rca cables?
Some headunits you need to change your settings so that it uses the Preouts
On mine i had to do this. MY headunit has a setting for the Sub to be on or off.

The sub setting is turned on. We think that its the remote wire for the stock amps which is why we are not getting any sound. We have not hooked that wire up at all, we came to this conclusion last night after looking at it more. This still does not explain why the subs are not getting signal.
