Subject: Speaker Problem IP: Logged
Message: Hi....
I Have an 02 SLT Quad Cab with the standard stereo set-up. I have 2 Questions....
1. The Passenger side front speaker doesnt seem to be working.... If I fade all the way to the front.... and all the way right, I hear only a tiny amount of sound, but it almost sounds like it is still coming from the other speakers.... Today, I hit the volume/power button by accident (pushed in partially) and the speaker started working... but it quit later on... it doesnt sound like it is blown, maybe just a short? How would I find out what is wrong?
2. When I turn the Volume all the way up to where it reads VOL MAX, it really isnt as loud as I would like it to be. I am not trying to put in subs or win an audio contest, I just dont want to be able to hear myself singing along with the music... Is there some sort of limiter in there that I can change, or would I need to get an Amp to make it louder?
Thanks in advance for yall's help, I really enjoy this board!!

Message: What kind of head unit do you have. If it is stock then I would go with an aftermarket deck if you want more power. As far as your first problem I am not sure, sounds like a short in the head unit or the speaker. If you need an after market deck I have one for sale on the main audio page under DEH 47 Pioneer
