Message: Where is the best place to run my 4AWG amp power wire? I was thinking of coming through the firewall and run under st step strip and I font that the power wire will be running right next to the CTM in the drivers kick board. Will it be ok to run that way or should I run in the frame and come through the floor under the tool tray ?

Message: On my 2000 CC, I ran 2- 8ga wires through the firewall and zip-tied them to the wire harness on the floor to the left side of the drivers seat, the amps were under the 2 front seats.
On my 2003 QC, I ran a 4ga wire in the same fashion, but ran it all the way to the back wall.
Didn't notice problems either truck,,,
Check the battery grounding on your truck. My 00's battery was grounded to the frame so I didn't have any problems. When I pulled the stereo equipment out of my 00 and put it in my 03 ther was a terrible stereo wine. Turns out the 03 had no battery frame ground and only a couple of crappy body panel grounds... Gee thanks Dodge! A couple feet of welding cable and 2 copper lugs solved that problem

Message: In my '01 club cab there is a spare unused grommet in the firewall behind the glovebox. maybe your truck has that same grommet.

Message: In my 01 QC I ran it down the driverside channel and used the grommet that the main wire harness enters tha cab with.
