Subject: Adding an amp IP: Logged
Message: I want to add a two channel amp to power my subs.
I am happy with the volume level and sound quality in my truck (replacing blown front speaker though) but want to add more bass. I have a pair of 10 inch subs and the dimensions to build a under seat sub box. What I need to know is how to wire up an amp to the stock stereo to power the subs?

Message: What you will need is a Line Output Converter, what you do is hook it up to your left & right rear speaker wires to this little box. This converts the signal for the RCA cables to work with your amp. Check your local Crappy Tire or car audio store.
Here's a pic.
Now if you buy an amp that his this feature built in you wont need the line converter at all. This will be your best bet.
Later,
Anthony
