I have a 98 Dodge Durango with Infinity system and aftermarket Headunit that has really bad static on the radio only. CD quality is fine. Radio only, and in varying degrees, sometimes not at all. This didnt used to happen at all so its not the headunit.
Kinda seems to have started after i got in an accident and had the right fender replaced. Took it back to the shop and had them retighten the antenna that was loose...didnt help. The anteanna cable seems tight at all locations including the interconnect below the glovebox.
Could the cable/antenna not be grounded good at the antenna location. The ground cable is connected fine behind the radio. I dont know what else to try!? HELP!
