Message: MTX makes a replacement for the tool tray. Its got two 10" with optional built in amp. I bought it for mine about 2 months ago and i like it alot, you get to leave sits in it. I paid about $600 for it(with built in amp). go to mtxaudio.com

Message: Yes, the factory tool tray is the base for my sub box. The tray has mdf on the top and bottom and was fully fiberglassed. This was done so that the sub box sits higher. I needed more room for the deeper subwoofers. You could do the same, the square mdf section in the middle is a cover for my Audio Control EQX, if you use 10" Subs you would have more room in the middle for maybe 2 amps. I would have done this but I wanted the ability to have (4) twelves oneday.
