Message: Stock front speaker are 6 1/2 inches. But they are oversized. You may need to drill out new hole or mod up some brackets if you get some aftermarket speakers. I got some Infinity Kappas and they did come with brackets that will make the speakers fit into the factory location. Pioneers also come withe these brackets. There is a metal clip that is behind the door cranks, the toughest part was putting that back on, not getting it off. other than that, just remove the 4 or so screws in the door, and the panel should lift up, then out. All that is left is the clip that attaches from the door handel to the lock, but that can be removed with the door half off.Hope this helps you out.

Message: I had the same problem. Ended up using kicker I6.2 in the front doors with the backings off the original speakers. Just jam a flat head screwdriver between the metal and plastic backing of the original 6.5's and start prying. Then do some cutting and drilling to make the screws able to go through the plastic plate.
