I'm Probably Stupid For Asking This...
But I Have Almost Run Out Of Ideas. I Have An 05 Dakota With The Infinity 6 Speaker Audio System, Which I Am Well Aware Comes With Its Own Amplifier,
And I'm Trying To Add An Aftermarket Amplifier And Subwoofers To The Existing System. I've Tried A Input/Out Converter(High/Low Adapter) And Got Major Distortion No Matter What I Did. Anyone Have Any Ideas Besides Get An Aftermarket Head Unit?
Or Even Possibly A Wiring Diagram For The Audio System? Thanks....

I'd think it would have line level outputs from the head unit. Maybe you can figure it out by finding a schematic or just isolating wires.
Does the stock head unit play mp3's? xm?
If not. Swap out the deck for one that does.
Or go TRUCK-PC like I did. But you need to be a computer nerd for that :p

have you removed the Infinity amplifier from the truck?
where are you connecting your line-output converter?
