Message: Otto, All you have to do, is pop off the black surround that goes around the gauage cluster and around the stereo and HVAC controls, be careful not to break it, but it does just pop right off.. once that is off, boom, you have two bolts you unscrew and the factory head unit pops right out. Wire up your harness to your new head unit, and plug it into the factory harness, (you will have to buy an installation kit from wally-world electronics store that sells automotive stuff) instructions come with the installation kit... Very easy to install... Total time it took me on my '00 Quad Cab was about 15 minutes from start to finish (already had my harness wired up to the head unit though) Also, make sure you solder your connections between the harness and the head unit. Your head unit will come with a harness that plugs into the back of the unit itself, with bare wires on the other end, this is where the harness you have to buy for your truck will wire up, it has a harness on one end that plugs into your trucks factory harness, and has bare wires on the other end to solder to the head unit harness.. very simple, everything is color coded. Good luck and shoot me and e-mail if you have any questions.

Message: I forgot one little detail, there are two little screws that hold the black trim piece in place, they screw up into the dash inside the gauge cluster. Take those two out, THEN it will just pop out.. lol.
