Message: What is the best system you can suggest that can be installed without an amp or a sub. I basically want to run everything off the deck.

Message: i put in kenwood component front speakers with alpines in the back. that alone gave me crisp, clear sound that had some bump, not much. i strongly suggest a speaker upgrade as well as a deck upgrade. even without subs and amps, my alpine deck with speakers ran 18 watts rms...the factory deck only put out 2

I've never seen one that weak LOL :p
I'm sure even the factory deck uses bridged output. So a near 24VAC signal to 4 ohm speakers should be more than 2 watts. Especially if the speakers are 4 ohms or less.
Most car head units will either be about one of two possible outputs. Bridged (high power), or un bridged. Obviously it makes a big difference between the two. The power input to the head unit is always near 12V so most different brands are all the same power. Unlike a switched power amp that could have any voltage going to the amp rails, +/- 25VDC, +/- 55 VDC, etc. Obviously the more voltage applied to the speaker the better. Like most sub amps are throwing over 100 VAC signal to a 4 ohm sub. Sometimes more. That's just like plugging it into the wall outlet. 120VAC RMS (170 peak to peak) at 60 Hz.
