Message: Okay all of uss with systems lets say where we got our boxes or deminsions to help other people out.
I have an audiobahn A2002t amp go to all four speakers. Infinity 6.5 inch components in front(crappy bass) and infinity reference 6.5 inch two ways in the back to speakers. with just my speakers my system sounds great and goes XRTEMLY loud.
Now for the subs.
I got my sub boxes from soundoffaudio.com(check spelling) and shipped to california total was about 120$.
I have a audiobahn A4002t amp hooked up to TWO Infinity 10 inch subwoofers. My system sounds awsome And everything but the tweeters is hidden.
BOTH AMPS FITT UNDER THE FRONT SEATS, SUBS BEHIND THE REAR SEATS SO YOU CANT SEE A THING.
all qc owners post what u have to help newbees out.

I'm running a single 10" RF P2 sub, the one with the 2" excursion. I had to MOVE my seats forward 1.5" to provide clearance and to keep them out of sight as well.
Soon I'll have a second 10 behind the other seat.
Wondered what you got that fit without mods. I know I've talked to a few of you QC guys before in emails and on other threads. Maybe you moved your seats as well?
As for my system. I think I posted most of it in the other thread.
There's the HEART of the audio-video system now. I got one of those really small Mini-ITX computers. That board has everything on it. The other one was behind the right rear seat. now that it's moved up here I can run a second sub back there when I can spare the change to do so.
The system is really starting to come together now. Even mounted some USB/Firewire posts in the console. Need to add a cooling fan too. i can FEEL the heat come out from under the lid :p
Anyway. TWO 10" and boxes for $120 sounds dirt cheap. I think one RF P2 costed around that. Closer to $150 with the 4 year warranty which I have had to use about 4 times so far.

I very happy with the system. All my amps are behind my passenger side rear seat, and yes the seat still folds up. My thunderform is behind my rear drivers side seat. This seat, however, does not fold up. System has good clean sound with non-getto bass. The bass is very accurate considering the speaker and enclosure.

Message: What is a "keyboard" mp3 player?
Can I assume it has a tiny keyboard to find mp3's easier or something?
The last mp3-CD player I had was 2001 technolodgy. It was SLOW to start.
My computer boots in a fraction of the time it took my Sony mp3 player to start playing.

Message: What it means by "keyboard" is that...lemmie think of how to describe it.
Whne the truck is off, it looks like a black peice of plastic. When its on, it folds out, has the normal display screen and what not, but the bottom is basically a kepyboard...buttons everywhere. And yes, it's to make everything easy and look good while doing it, lol.

Message: having the boxes shipped to california cost 120 just the boxes the subs cost more. The boxes fit right behind the back seats and the seats dont need to be moved at all. The boxes have a mounting debth of 6 inches so you can fit most 10 inch sube no problem.

Message: OK. that makes more sense. I thought two 10's in a box for 120 was CHEAP. WOuld not be a very good set I'd think :p
Most 10's would fit then? All but what I have. Rockford Fozgate P2 10"
Deep little bastards. I have to take the plastic cover off of the magents to get them to fit in my box. And that box needed the seat moved.

Message: graphitdak why do you alway talk about how good you fosgate sub is cause if you have the PUNCH stage 2 that subs sucks compared to my infinities and that sub is not deep at all it would fit in this box. Now if you have a POWER stage 2 that is a deep sub butt acording to my crutchfield magazine it only comes in 12 in and 15in. I see you pariaid your fosgate sub all over this fourm and if its the one in this magazine your sub cost more than both of my infinities and i have
Hievier maginits
higher RMS rating
bigger frequency range
And higher SPL
Not to mention the icredible sound quality my infinities have after thats what thier known for.

Message: Well, I don't want to go flamin anyone for thier choice of RF, think they make some great amps and subs...
But,,, I can't complain about Infinity either. I have felt some sh1t in my QC that I've never heard before. The sweeeet Infinity Perfect 12 in my QC goes sub-sonic without a problem and is still very punchy. First time I felt bass but didn't hear it was with the Perfect 12.
Pioneer DEH P4700-DH deck
Pioneer P608 changer
Orion 465 4x50W amp
RF 301S amp
Infinity 605CS components front and rear
Infinity Perfect 12 in a custom 1 cuft enclusore
There's some loss of leg room, but I can still fold up my back seats ;-)
Not much going behind this seat, but it goes up and down. I can put all my fishin stuff on the floor and not the seats. Wifey gets kind of pizzed with a cooler of tuna on the back seats LOL

Did you get those boxes from soundoffaudio.com? If so, what modification did they do to increase the mounting depth to 6"? Do they fit/sound good behind the rear seats?

Message: 034x4qc4.7, I don't know the difference of the two models you speak of. POwer vs plain stage 2.
I thought they just went P1, P2 (what I have) and P3. P3 rated for a rediculous amount of power. I wanted efficient. And I noticed the 2 inch excursion seemed to be the way to go when you only have room for ONE sub.
If the infinities are BETTER and don't cost more, I'd be all for buying them.
I'm not a Rockford Fozgate whore :p I was just saying that the higher end 2 inch excursion does a lot more work than the typical subs that one have 1" (which is what 99% are).
I'm sure other brands make 2". But that's what I have available at Best Buy.
I'm going to have room for a second sub soon. Was planning in buying another RF just because I have one.
I hope that running two will take some of the strain off of me running the one hard. I've blown it over 4 times and have had to return it each time under the 4 yr warranty. It's expiring real soon though.
How much are infinities?
At Best Buy I paid close to $150 WITH the 4 yr warranty. I haven't looked elsewhere.
I found some pics, here's what I have if that helps...
And this is a P1, 1 inch excursion...
The first one has a lot more foam around the end because it moves in and out almost twice as much.
The sub is deep enough that the box nessessary wont fit behind the seat unless I moved it forward like I did.
Having only one sub isn't very loud compared to what a lot of people have. It sounds good, but I am always driving it very hard, even to where it sounds kind of harsh.
I'd like to make some improvements here some time soon.
If anyone has any similar subs, ones that have long excursion so I can get the most out of the size, post them.
I'm not faithful to ONE brand. All my gear is mis matched brand wise anyway.

the 1 Kicker kicks like no bodies business... no matter what music played it sounds awesome, found 1 song that will cause it to bottom out but that was at full volume.. FULL VOLUME! I'm so tickled it's hard to put into words... the 2 10"'s behind the seat were ok.. but what a difference the kicker is..box is approx 1.15^3.

Message: Removing the insulation from behind the sub boxes may give you just enough to give clearance.
I hate to be removing my insulation, but it gave me the additional apace.
You could also move the seats forward a little by modding the mounts. That's where I got most of my room.
