Subject: Some advice... IP: Logged
Message: Okay...here's what I'm wanting to know...
I have an RC Dakota with the middle seat removed. I want a sub or two to go there. I'd like to go with JL Audio subs since I know the name is good and everyone I've talked to that owns em, loves em. I either want a single 10" or two 8" subs. I jam mainly rock/metal and country and very very little rap...so I'm just looking for a little extra bump in my music.
What I'm looking for is either plans to make an enclosure that will fit between the seats or somewhere online that sells a fairly cheap (cheap as compared to those "custom" stuff that are vehicle specific) enclosure...anyone got some info that can help me out?
I was originally looking at one of those JL Audio Stealthboxes, but heard they cost somewhere around $600...and that's WAAAAY too much for me.
Oh...another question while I'm here...
I was checking out those tube enclosures made by Audiobahn (can be seen on thezeb.com if you're unsure what I'm talking about). Would a 10" one fit between my seats or is the diameter quite a bit bigger than 10"? Thanks guys!

Message: I have a 99 reg cab Dakota with the center seat removed and Just built a box for 2 8" (happened to be rockfordfosgates) they were cheap, in a sealed bandpass box and also there is a 10" audiobahn in a sealed box the box is also my new stationary arm rest. I first was going to bondo the box and paint the inside of the band pass part but it was a pain in the ass so i just used black carpet and coverd everything. It is comfortable and the seats move freely. This combo of 10" and 8" give me a full range of sound not just bass. Any kind of music sounds great. If you would like to see those pics email me and i'll try to get them to you.
