Message: i would upgrade from stock speakers first cause that can make a pretty nice difference (listen to some polk audio, infinity, and boston acoustics, they all sound pretty good), then look and listen at different subs at a shop. you'll only want 10's and, speaking from my experience, they're alot easier to make fit. make the box yourself or get somebody that's good at carpentry to make it cause finding a premade box that fits our regular cabs will be rare. a single 10 would suit you fine from the type of music you'll be listening to. i've never heard of that cd player, so i can't give an opinion on it, but i will say that any pioneer or alpine that's around $200 or more is a great buy for the money. that's my $.02

Message: Replace your front speakers if you can get components they cost a little more but make a big differance in a reg cab. Your rear speakers really dont matter much in a reg cab. If you amp your fronts even better but not needed. If you are interested? I am re doing my audio system on my 99 reg cab and am getting a new sub and amp. So i am selling my old ones an
Image Dunamics IDQ 10" sub(already in a box built to fit a reg cab.) and a Memphis mc250D amp which is an unreal sound quality set up. It was all profesionaly built and installed by a custom shop and has been used for about 9 months.

Message: I have 10" Rockford Fosgates behind the seats (fit nice) and 6 1/2" Sony Expold in the doors (fit right into the factory opening with a little cutting). JCV head unit with 200 Watts (adding amp next). This setup was not real expensive and sounds great. 2000 Sport Reg Cab.
