Subject: Took the DREMEL to my dash again...

I wonder how much a new dash bexel thingie is if I f**k mine up?

Anyway. I'm STILL doing the finishing touches on my touch screen in my Dak.
The other day I got off work early enough to cut out a larger section in my dash and sink the touchscreen LCD monitor in there flush like.
It LOOKS much better all countersunk a bit vs. how it was hooked in there with it's bracket it came with.

But now it sits in there straight. I liked it angled. So I think I'm going to be cutting even MORE out and using some plastic BONDO to make the screen recessed and LOOK all one piece and see if I can get some angle on it yet formed like one piece with the dash bezel thingie mer bob deal.

And then it would be less likely for a THIEF to think he could steal something if he thinks it can't just be unbolted like a Stereo.

I want this to look FACTORY when I'm done. Like a DVD-Navigation you would get from a factory BMW/Mercedes, etc.

I'll post more pics when I take the Dremel to it again. Maybe tomarrow. But if anyone KNOWS where to get a new dash bezel just in case....

Because my other mod I think is to make it TWO pieces, because I HATE pulling that one piece deal out that extends to the other side of the steering wheel, etc!

Man. You really took your Dak apart!

Nice to see someone who is brave like me!!!
And mine is still very new :) Most ppl say I'm crazy!

Nice work on the molding. You use fiberglass, or plastic body filler????
