Subject: New sub IP: Logged
Message: I just bought a 2001 dakota slt and was trying to decide on a new sub. I had a bazooka tube in my car, now i want some more bass. Looking for something that will last a long time, and puts out around 600+ watts. Any suggestions on amps too would be great.
Thanks,
Ryan

Message: puts out 600w?
how about an amp that puts out 600 and some subs that will take it?...i've been playing with eD stuff lately and am VERY impressed with it, especially for the price

OR.....you can't go wrong with my personal fav, Diamond..it's a bit pricier though.

Message: forgot to mention.....
on the last a long time theme..elemental products come with a 3 year warranty, diamond is 3 years if purchased and installed at a dealer....however, the diamond amps come with a full LIFETIME warranty on amps purchased and installed at a dealer....you can definitely get one and know it will be the last amp you will EVER have to buy.

Is it worth it? Should I buy the unloaded box, or get the loaded box and sell the speakers and get better ones. The loaded box subs only take 225 watts each. Let me know what you guys think.

Message: If you plan to buy it loaded and sell the speakers and buy better ones, remember that "better ones" generally use more air space. You could buy two 10" Brahmas to put in their place and they probubly would even work, due to the lack of air.
Keep that in mind.

Message: After several discussions with my friends, I've decided to go Kenwood. What kenwood amp would you guys suggest to power these two 700 watt subs.

Message: Well looks like Im pretty indecisive. I'm now learning back towards MTX's. Looking at two MTX 10" Subs (MXS1004)w/ 800 watts peak power each. Will this be too much bass in my extended cab. I don't think so, but I may be wrong. What amp would you guys suggest?
Sorry for the indecisivness,
Ryan

Message: There is no such thing as an MTX giving out "too much bass". Do you want just a little umpf in your music, or to beat the block?
