Need some advice here from any radio smart guys....
Will this radio off ebay fit into my 1998 Dakota?

It's a factory radio from a newer 300M and I really like the looks of it. My guess is no, but I want to know for sure. Thanks.

easiest way to find out....
cross reference the aftermarket kits and harness for both vehicles...if they match, then yes....
skip ahead a bit...the faces should be contoured different, so no....

No, it will not fit or even work in a '98. That radio only works in new CAN-Bus Chrysler vehicles.

Nope. The 2002-2005 "Round-face" J1850 radios and the 2004-up CAN radios use the same 22-pin connector. Even so, a CAN radio won't work in a J1850 vehicle, and vice versa.

I've got a factory Am/FM/CD player from my 2003 Dak sitting in my closet.
I removed it as soon as I got the truck. never thought of selling it. But now that I've modded my dash to the extent that i now have, I may never use it.
