Subject: Explain some basic audio knowledge to me IP: Logged
Message: I originally had the stock infinity system in my 02 quadcab. Since then, I have replaced the head unit with and alpine mp3 player, all new speakers, powered by a 4-channel pioneer amp and an 8 inch amped bazooka tube. Now I want more bass. I'm not to audio savvy, from what I remember they bypassed my stock infinity amp and the speakers run off the pioneer amp. If I got say a loaded thunderform with a 10 inch sub, is there a way to keep everything else them same and just power it from the unused stock infinity amp? Would that be pretty simple or am I missing something?

Message: Unless you don't want to hear your sub, look into another amp. The "stock infinity" amp only puts out about 30 watts at 2 ohm. If your getting the Mtx thunderform it has 2 10 inch subs. I go for the DDXP201A if you can because its preloaded with an amp, otherwise you have to find one that fits you.
