Subject: More install? IP: Logged
Message: OK, I called best buy and they say because I have the Infinity factory system that I should run the speaker wire from the output of that to the amp. But what would happen to the speaker input. If I cut the wire at the output and direct it to the amp, how will the speaker get any info or sound? Would I splice the output to the speaker, the amp wire and the input wire in one joint? Just bypassing the whole infinity system? I am very confused and would really like this amp installed. Help me

Message: So you bought another amp? The Infinity system has an amp mounted in the pass side kick panel (120 W, I believe). If you got another amp then, yes, you'll have to bypass the Infinity.
I guess another option would be to run the head unit into the Infinity (using the pre-amp outs on the H-U) and use the new amp to run your sub(s), assuming you have one.
