 Subject: Speaker Problem

i hooked up an alpine 9847, multi wiring amp kit, the problem i have is that when i turn on the car all my speakers pop then start working, its an alpine mv f240 amp i believe, the speakers are infinity reference. if i turn up the volume to like 15 the speakers just quit for a second then start working. do i have the gain turned to high? is that too much power for those speakers? please help

Sounds like maybe your amp isnt get a constant 12v from the batt. and when you turn on your car the 12v remote voltage and the 12v power hit the amp at same time..

bad ground.check your ground to the amp.
