Subject: how to: rear reg cab speaker replace? IP: Logged
Message: I want to go to a more powerful speaker, I have the infinity system in my reg cab R/T, and dunno what would be the best way to mount a decent speaker in that spot. the factory one is held by three screws, and isnt even close to a good match for any aftermarket speakers... what have others done, and what tips can you give me? I'm replacing all factory speakers, and adding an amp and a 12" sub, since I blew out three of the factory speakers, I think its time I upped my thump

Message: I put in infinity aftermarkets, and they came with four holes and the stupid square plugg in you have to pull the plugg in apart and solder the stock wires to it. As for the screw holes, ur gonna have to do what i did, drill, i know this sounds painfull just double and triple check before you do. I also have an infinty 12 and amp in my extended cab, I just have it mounted behind the driver seat, and the wires are run through the door panels and zip tied to the side.
