Subject: I want to replace the factory (infinity) IP: Logged
Message: with a new unit. I know that the infininty has an amp installed. Is there any way using existing wiring to bypass the amp, or utilize it whichever is easier/better. I don't want to create a rat's nest of wiring and would like to keep it as stock (and simple) as possible if I need to replace the factory radio. THANKS!

Message: You can always bypass the factory amp, and probably use it if you can find a good installer.

Message: I would just use it. I am assuming that when you say you want to replace the factory unit you are refering to the head unit. I went ahead and used the stock amp when I replaced mine. Just make sure you connect you remote wire. I had never hooked up a aftermarket cd player to a vehicle with a factory installed amp when I did mine and didn't hook up that wire since I didn't have an amp that I knew of.
