 Subject: two questions

1. i have an original head unit with a tuner and a tape deck, so it's two din. I was wondering if a one din head unit would fit, and if it would what would i need to install it, extra.
2. how would i know if i have the infinity sound system?

1. Get a HU install kit that has a new faceplate and a wiring harness adapter.
2. Got tweeters in the front door sail panels? If yes, Infinity.

What year is your Dak? I have an 01 and just installed a new deck replacing the old tape deck. If you have an 00 or older you will need this kit

If you have an 01 or newer you need this kit:

You can get them at any stereo or automotive store (I got mine at Canadian Tire) Kit and wiring harness came to 25 bucks, and I installed it in my driveway in about 30 min. Save yourself time and pre wire the harness to the stereo in your house, then just mount the bracket and plug it in.

the HU for the infinity sysem has a 5 band eqaulizer and the non-infinity systems only have a 3 band.

Go to Crutchfield.com take a look at website pump in year make model and it (they) will tell you what units will fit and what install kit you need..
They might be a few bucks more but you get the install kit and install master sheets with unit and ship for free orders $199.00 and up
