Place the speaker face down, with the connector facing you. The terminal on the left is positive.

Every speaker I have ever seen has the positive on the right. I will get a wiring diagram from work tomorrow.

One way to tell is to rake off the wires (remember which one goes where) and then use a 9 volt battery on the terminals. When you put the battery on it, the speaker cone should push out. If it soes not then you have it backward. When it pushes out, you know the terminal touching the positive side of the battery is the positive terminal.

I'd use a C cell which is 1.5 volt will work fine. cone push out you have positive and negative correct
