Subject: Another Amp question IP: Logged
Message: Ok, currently i am running my MTX thunderform with a Rockford Fosgate 250.2. It does a good job of pushing the tens but....I think I'm looking for some more power. Any suggestions? What do you guys think of the Kenwood KAC 929? Any help would be great.

Message: Good amp, go to ebay they have them for around $200. If you want to go another step up and have a few more options look at a JL Audio 500/1 amp, they are around $300 on ebay. Those new amps are really nice.
I am a little biased cause I use the Class D amps, they work great on subs.

Message: which ever Rockford amp you decide on, get the Power version. It has the remote frequency boost and makes one hell of a difference. I have the Power BD1000 powering 2 Rockford HX2's and that extra boost really gives it a nice pound.

Message: Liqudus is right, the 250.2 I currently have has the remote bass boost and it makes a tremendous difference. Does anyone know if the 500.2 will fit under the driver seat?
