when you say there is power running to it, do you mean the power light is on but the speakers aren't putting out sound? do you have speakers hooked to it, cause some amps don't turn on without speakers connected. and i would also check to make sure you ran the amp turn-on lead to the right wire from player. i believe most are a blue/white wire.

The power light does not come on...but there is power running through the cable. Someone mentioned that the fuse might not be big enough on the power cable could that be it? and I have my speakers attached everythings hooked up correctly but the power light does not come on

could be. i'd check into that too. if your sure that all your connections like rca's, turn-on lead, power cable and speakers are wired correctly then check your ground. do you have it grounded correctly--bare metal with no paint? if you know for a fact it isn't any of these connections then check into the fuse thing. to get the right size fuse you would need for one amp you just need one that either matches or is slightly more than your amps fuse rating.
