Subject: Window Crank Removal Help IP: Logged
Message: I have a 2000 Regular Cab. I am going to upgrade the factory door speakers. I know there is a clip on the crank to remove it. Ive looked and I couldnt see the clip. Is it between the panel and the plastic "doughnut" or is it between the "doughnut" and the crank itself. Do I need a special tool to remove and install it. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Message: You don't have to have special tool but it helps a lot. I've done it with a screw driver but its hard. I believe that the clip is in between the donut and the crank. I would have to check to be positive.

Message: it's behind the donut(should be). screwdriver does work, but then so does anything flat.
