Subject: Kenwood KFC-1679ie IP: Logged
Message: im want to make my trucks stereo sound a little bit better. only thing ive done is put a head unit in. the head unit puts out 52wx4. im thinking about replacing all 4 speakers with these. do you think this is a good speaker? heres the specs:

Message: Don't look for or listen for bass when buying factory replacements, if you want that you have to go with a sub and amp. If you want a really nice sound it's always nice to step up to a component system (where the 6" speaker and tweeter are seperate), it just cost a bit more and you have to install the tweeters yourself.
Otherwise what I've learned is the best to do for buying speakers is find a audio store that has your head unit and put a cd in of your liking and just try some of the differant speakers that they have. You don't have to buy the speakers there, you can just write down the model number and buy from crutch, ebay or where ever you want.
