I have a 2000 QC with the factory infinity system, with the 2 piece component speakers in the front doors and speakers in the rear doors. I thought it was a pretty good sounding system. At least it was until the lower speaker in the driver's door started rattling and buzzing at medium volumes. blown drivers side speaker, big surprise, right?
I'm just wondering, since it already has the component speakers up front, what would happen if I replaced the 2 front lower speakers with a set of 2 or 3 way speakers, like some Infinity Kappas 62.5i or 63.5i? I'm just not clear about what will happen with the component tweeters that remain in place, and the tweeters that are part of the Kappas.
