Subject: quick question IP: Logged
Message: alright, i know this is probably a dumb question, but i'm a newb and don't want to take a chance at blowing speakers or amp. i bought a fosgate wiring kit and i need to know how to run the speaker wire. Ok, the speaker wire is actually two wires and the tubes connecting (think of an extension cord)in the middle. do i need to wire both sides of the wire to one terminal or do i split the tubes where each meets the other and run one tube of wire to each terminal? or do i need to run them together (the way they are) to each terminal? hopefully someone can help me, i'm planning to do this tomorrow. also, on the wire it has this triangle arrow thing every 1.5 ft. or so and one side of the arrow is dark and the other light and it points to what looks to be a negative sign or dash. what does this mean? could someone explain these two questions to me. post if you're confused and i'll try to describe better. thanks in advance.

Message: You need to split the wires at the ends and use them on separate terminals. The marks on the wires are probably to help you match the (+) and (-) at the woofer and the amp.
