Message: Hmmm, MB Quart huh. These are pretty high end tweets, make sure they have a crossover built in or have an external crossover. If you install them without a crossover you might blow them.
I guess the reason they make them 6 ohms is to make them less effecient, quieter. They will be OK running off your 4 ohm deck and 4 ohm mids, but won't be as loud as a 4 ohm tweeter, all things being equal. I wouldn't worry too much about them being 6 ohms, I added bunch of resistance (Lpad) to my Infinity components to tone down the tweeters, lil puppys were screaming over the other speakers. Wished the Infinity tweets were 6 ohms they might have matched better. The only time you would have to worry about the 6 ohm impedance is if you were running these off a crossover designed for 4 ohm speakers, the 6 ohm impedance would roll the tweeters off at a different frequency then 4 ohm tweeters.

Message: DSW. Thanks you very much. Is it necessary to get mb quartz tweeters. I know that it depends on the person but do you really hear big difference between an MB tweeter or somthing from crutchfield like infinity.

Message: I doubt I would dump money on a high end set of tweets for a bacically stock system. You won't even get close to thier potential running them off your deck, plus the quality of sound coming from the decks amp isn't as clear as running the mids and tweets off a seperate amp. It would be better to get a matched set of component speakers, that way everything is balanced, not to say that adding a set of tweets won't improve the sound drastically. I think you could get the same effect out of tweeters that are much cheaper if running them off the deck.
MB Quart .625" Tweeter
5/8" (13mm) Titanium Tweeter - Set Magnet: Ferrite - Impedance: 6 Ohms (nominal) - Power Range: 50 watts (rms.) to 80 watts - Freq. Response: 4,000Hz to 39,500Hz - Sensitivity: 90 dB (1 watt, 1 meter) - Crossover: 12 dB/Octave @ 4,500Hz - Mount Options: Angle, Flush
I guess your looking at something like this for $50-100, why not pop a little more and get a full set of component speakers? I picked up my Infinity 605CS components on Ebay for about $100.
Tweeters will sound different between MFG's, the main differences are the cone material, power handling, mounting hardware and sound quality. 200W tweeters for $5, wont sound as good as the 50W MB's for $70. Silk/textile are softer sounding, Titanium/mylar are harsher sounding, depends on what sound you like and everyone has a different opinion.
I would expect a good improvement by adding the MB's, but not $70 worth of improvement.
